Today we announced a tremendous new partnership with LANDESK Software. It is our first OEM relationship and represents a dramatic new growth phase for Avatier.
LANDESK will be using our innovative self-service password reset tool as part of their LANDESK Service Desk in their Password Central product. Our enterprise password manager will be integrated tightly with LANDESK Service Desk to automatically record and ticket password resets, with zero touch from a service desk analyst. Like our enterprise password management software, it empowers users to independently reset and synchronize their own passwords across multiple business applications and services without service desk technician involvement. One of the aspects of our technology that has had a massive effect on reducing Help Desk calls is our ability to offer users the ultimate flexibility in selecting a secure password reset mechanism through either online, touch-tone phone PIN code, voice recognition or biometric access options. In the announcement made today, Ian Aitchison, Director of Product Management for LANDESK Software noted that a 2012 HDI study shows over 30 percent of all service desk calls deal with password complexities and resets.
Avatier is trusted by the world’s top brands for enterprise password management solutions. We share in the LANDesk’s vision of user-oriented IT so partnering with them on Password Central was a natural fit and a win for customers. This partnership not only meets the changing needs of IT departments and users, but also meets the needs of the business through an immediate and measurable return on time and money.
Ochsner Health Systems, one of LANDesk’s first customers to use the product, was quoted in the announcement. Ochsner is the state of Louisiana’s largest private employer. Willy Schley, Director of Technology for Ochsner Health Systems said they selected Password Central to support their automated password expirations. According to Mr. Schely, the self-service system not only improves customer satisfaction and conserves valuable service desk resources, it ensures that passwords are changed under set password policy rules that meet their regulatory compliance review requirements. He noted that with support from LANDESK and Avatier, Password Central has been quick and easy to implement.
As an extension of this news, we have just hired Richard Darrell as Vice President of Strategic Alliances to lead our partnership program. Richard comes to us from Hitachi ID where he was Vice President of Strategic Alliances. With Richard’s assistance, I see tremendous growth for us through partnerships like LANDESK. Our solutions are extremely flexible, swift to implement and easy to operate, making them the ideal selection for the channel. And, of course, they provide both excellent time-to-value and extremely high operational efficiencies.
Look for more of these announcements in the coming months. This is just the beginning.
