In an announcement today, Avatier’s cutting-edge identity access management software was named an Innovation Leader and a Product Leader in the KuppingerCole Leadership Compass Report titled “Identity as a Service: Cloud-Based Provisioning, Access Governance and Federation (IDaaS B2E).”
Written by Martin Kuppinger, founder and principal analyst at KuppingerCole Analysts, the report studied and ranked 25 companies in the industry. Avatier was recognized as an industry leader in two of three categories.
When naming Avatier an Innovation Leader, the report identified the company’s innovative efforts as being in the top 20% of the identity management industry. The report outlines that innovation is key to the growth of the IT market, outlining its necessity for “keeping up with the constant evolution and emerging requirements.” In particular, the report’s analysis of innovation noted Avatier’s “leading-edge user interfaces with strong support for mobile users.”
In response to Avatier being named an Innovation Leader, Chairman and CEO Nelson Cicchitto responded: “Innovation is one of our core values and a key to our strategy. As a company, we are dedicated to developing completely new and innovative products and services that will change this market in a significant and lasting way. We are pleased that leading identity management analyst firm KuppingerCole recognizes our dedication to innovation and considers us to be an innovative leader in the identity provisioning space.”
Additionally, KuppingerCole cited Avatier’s “functional strength and completeness of products” when it named the company a Product Leader. According to its analysis, Avatier provides a well-rounded solution that excels in all five areas of product analysis. Placing Avatier in the top 16% of all identity products, the report noted: “Avatier delivers a rich set of features and integrations to its customers, with a clear emphasis on interfacing to on-premise solutions, but a good baseline support particularly for enterprise-class cloud services. The UI is well-suited for today’s requirements of serving mobile users, but also of providing a wealth of self-service interfaces.”
In addition, the report highlights how Avatier is on the leading edge of the industry with its products: “Avatier is amongst the few vendors that already support the FIDO Alliance protocols for a standards-based integration with strong authentication technologies integrated into mobile devices.”
